As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Ad Sales Specialist to grow our ad revenue by help Chinese brands reach consumers in Europe, LATAM and the rest of the world.

Role Overview

Several large Chinese brands such as Temu, SHEIN, AliExpress, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and DJI  are aggressively expanding their direct-to-consumer (DTC) presence in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, often using digital advertising, e-commerce platforms, and Connected TV to build brand awareness and drive sales. As an Ad Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for positioning Whale TV in this opportunity and selling CTV ad inventory to these major Chinese brands and their agencies. This will be a key role in driving a new revenue stream to the company and owning all ad revenue the company generates from Chinese advertisers.

Key Responsibilities

· Build and manage relationships with China-based agencies, brand advertisers, and trading desks looking to advertise internationally

· Source ad sales opportunities, create sales proposals and close deals for ad inventory sales

· Create ad revenue forecasts, goals and targets for ad sales to Chinese brands with leadership, report on actuals vs. plan.

· Work closely with Whale TV’s global inventory, operations, and marketing teams to tailor solutions that match client goals

· Represent Whale TV at key China ad industry events

· Provide ongoing client support, campaign insights, and upsell opportunities for Chinese advertisers and their agencies

Qualifications

· 3–6 years in digital ad sales or media partnerships, with a focus on Chinese advertisers selling to export markets

· Proven track record of hitting revenue targets and building new business

· Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, CTV/OTT, and media selling

· Fluent in Mandarin and English

· Self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

· Comfortable working independently and across time zones
